Ayurveda 101 Wellness and Yoga Retreat

It is with great excitement that Renu Chaudhary CAP, RNP, CCT joins us from Ecuador to share her expertise with us.

Renu offers Ayurvedic consultations and treatment all over the world. She is an alumni member affiliated with the Centre for Ayurveda and Indian Systems of Healing, CAISH, in Toronto and she facilitates the Ayurvedic modality in YTT programs in Ecuador. She is also the author of Ayurveda To The Rescue.

During this week-end retreat, learn some basic ways to incorporate Ayurveda into your life. This is also an opportunity for those who are interested to get a Basic Ayurveda Certificate and 30 CEU credits.

Renu will touch on how creation came about which lead to our elements, to our doshas to our many tastes and how to work with this to find balance in our well-being.

Learn more about your dosha, get your pulse taken, learn how to use neti pot, do oil pulling and the importance of tongue cleaning. Learn basic head, face and feet massager and the marma points. 

We will also explore in the kitchen learning about eating right for our dosha, on the season and look at the benefits of herbs, spices and how to incorporate them in our drinks and food. We will do some hands on cooking, making fresh teas, ghee, golden latte and khichari.

Learn some home remedies and how to stock your kitchen cabinet so you are prepared for healthy meals and how these ingredients can aid many common ailments.

Stacey L.A. Sinclair RMT and Hatha Teacher will share the importance and benefits of daily yoga, meditation, pranayama, mudra and mantra.

We will connect through kirtan, movement, group activities. There will be some free time to journal, to explore nature and to get to know each other through great conversation and amazing food.

Early bird Cost is $500 with no certificate and $700 for the certification including Renu's book. Registration must be done by June 3 and then pricing goes to $600 and $800 with certification. Price includes all course materials, activities, nourishing, fresh meals and lodging.
